Thankful feast

Everyday of the year gives me good reason to be thankful beyond just at Thanksgiving  … for my husband, my beautiful family and wonderful friends …     and all that they and life provide as boundless opportunities and support …           I feel truly fortunate and send love and endless thanks.

This year our Thanksgiving was spent with an adorable family {and good friends} from the UK that are now living in Brooklyn. It was a feast that was fearlessly prepared by a vegetarian chef and indeed included a wonderful 18 pound turkey. The nibbles and sides were creatively concocted: mashed sweet potatoes with coconut milk & red curry & brown sugar; pear and ginger relish with onion tart; roasted garlic, pearl onions and brussel sprouts; and even included a pumpkin pie and corn bread pudding created by the kids – you could taste the love. Thanks i+t+e+m for the fun.. Oh! and how cute are these place cards?
