PS. Hello everyone. We are back click here for all the pictures from our trip to Okavango delta – Botswana.
After what I am assuming is going to be a potentially ‘frightful’ but ‘awe-inspiring’ flight in a little prop plane we will arrive at a remote air strip and make our way overland to our next location this time a ‘Safari Camp’ [Lodge = building / Camp = Tent]. Our next four nights will be in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. It is the worlds largest delta and is produced by seasonal flooding. During our stay the floods are peaking, although oddly enough it is Botswana’s dry winter season. At this time the delta swells to three times its permanent size, attracting animals from miles around and creating one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife. YAY! The camera is ready and we have packed loads of memory cards – click click click click.
