San Antonio || havana hotel

Another fine find on Gilt’s Jettsetter and a bargain price it was too for the Havana Hotel situated on the north end of San Antonio’s famous river walk.

I adore this little hotel. It’s creaky floors, all of its restored details, and the creatively curated furniture pieces loving recovered in luxurious whimsical fabrics. The minute you walk in the door the hotel hugs you and welcomes you in, every corner you turn, every experience you have all bring a smile to your face. It is perfectly imperfect. Beautiful.

The BIG bed is super comfy for snuggling in under the covers. The lounge area is spacious and has a SMEG fridge with the best stocked mini-bar I have ever seen. There are loads of interesting snacks and colorful labels that have you wanting to eat and drink everything [and while sober vs. the tipsy snacking after midnight crave that you regret indulging in at check-out for the overpriced past-use-by date crap you consumed]. The room service for breakfast was awesome, you have got to love a hotel that have fresh hot churros for a breakfast choice [big enthusiastic tick in that box on the menu]. Ok the bathroom isn’t spa like, but it is adorable and vintage and everything works as you expect it. A must stay when in San Antonio.

And then there are the hotel’s lounge & bar … equally as fanciful and delightful. More on those soon…
