Fave Finds || Forest Park

Yesterday we ventured to Forest Park to check-out Yearbook [more on that tomorrow], and in the meanwhile we discovered a few other treasures that were worthy of sharing to entice you to make a trip to this little Village.

Moss Modern Flowers‘ Chris Geoghegan owner / floral stylist has an incredible store filled with found objects and unusual flowers, everything is very textural and ranges from twigs and bark found from forest foraging, to African and Asian antiques and artifacts. We picked up some treasures, and will be calling next time we are looking for some unique floral arrangements.

Saigon Pho & Cafe across the street from our Forest Park destination, is the perfect stop for lunch when you head out this way. The Vietnamese Spring Roll has a nice crunchy surprise inside and was freshly made. The Pho [taking up to 6 hours alone to make the broth] was tasty, not as complex as some renditions of the dish yet worthy of my $$$, and the Banh Mi Saigon sandwich was delicious with warm crusty bread and a nice level of heat.

Todd & Holland has got to be the best stocked tea shop in Chicagoland. The choices are endless and the staff are passionate and well versed in knowing all things tea. With the crisp Fall air we have turned to tea once again and this is the perfect place to stock-up on a wide variety of blends, plus they have some great paraphernalia too.
