Bogotá || street art by grafiteros
Our friend over at Passport Delicious put this walking tour of Bogotá’s Street Art onto our ‘to-do’ list. We now want to put it on yours. Graffiti isn’t technically illegal in Colombia, and has made the streets colorful, expressive, and an international draw card for ‘grafiteros’. When visiting we highly recommend you join the Bogotá Graffiti Tour, the tour is provided in English, and takes you not only on a journey to show some brilliant street art, but through the colorful neighborhood of La Canderlaria.
Along the way you will learn some fascinating details about the world of ‘street art’, and be wowed by the community & the artists backgrounds. Make sure you have some comfortable walking shoes – like these from ‘Bucket-Feet’ a company based here in Chicago, where every shoe is designed by a different artist- including DJLu from Bogota.
